BLEPHAROPLASTY in Long Island, NY
Awaken your eyes
About
We offer both upper and lower blepharoplasty with upper blepharoplasty focused on removing sagging skin that hangs over the eyelashes, and lower blepharoplasty focused on improving the appearance of undereye bags. Upper and lower blepharoplasty can either be done separately or together.
Consultation
During your one-on-one consultation, we will listen to your concerns and develop a fully customized treatment plan to help you achieve your aesthetic goals. We believe in tailoring each surgery to the needs of the patient, and never want you to have more surgery than is necessary for the most natural-looking results.
Procedure
During an upper blepharoplasty, a discrete incision is made along the natural fold in your upper eyelid. Through this incision, Dr. Park will tighten the underlying muscle and tissues, and remove the excess skin around the eyes. During a lower blepharoplasty, a small incision is made along the lower lash line. Through this incision, she will be able to remove unwanted pockets of fat, tighten the muscles and tissues in the area, and remove any excess skin. The surgery is performed in a private operating suite under anesthesia. The entire procedure takes approximately 1 hour to complete.
Recovery
The incisions made during blepharoplasty are very small. The skin around the eyes is very delicate and you may experience swelling and bruising during the recovery period. Most patients return to their normal daily activities 1-2 weeks following their procedure when a majority of the swelling subsides. You will notice immediate results and improvement over the course of several weeks.
