Using PRP, or platelet-rich plasma, this minimally-invasive treatment helps stimulate hair follicle activity and promote new hair growth. After a standard blood draw from your arm, the tube of blood is put into a machine called a centrifuge, which spins the blood tube to separate out the red blood cells from the plasma. The plasma, rich in platelets, is then injected directly into your scalp at the level of the hair follicles. Injections span across the scalp over the area of thinning hair to help increase hair count, hair thickness and the growth phase of the hair cycle.

When can I expect to see results?

Is there any downtime?

What does the treatment feel like?
Minimal bruising for a few days following treatment, but will diminish within 1-2 weeks. A nerve block is administered to maximize comfort.
How frequently should I get this service?
Once a month for the first 3-4 months, and then every 3-6 months thereafter.
- We recommend bringing a hat for when you leave the appointment.
- Do not wash hair that night.
- We recommend using a minoxidil based product to encourage hair growth.
- To lessen the chance of any sensitivity, schedule hair color appointments two weeks post treatment.
