Procedure
During the liposuction procedure, small, discrete entry points are made close to the treatment area. A thin, hollow tube called a cannula will be inserted into the treatment area through the incision and a gentle vacuum-powered suction will remove unwanted fat. Liposuction can either be done alone or in conjunction with other facial rejuvenation procedures.
Recovery
Following your facial liposuction procedure, you may experience mild swelling, bruising and tenderness in your treated area. This is normal and typically diminishes within a week. Most patients return to their normal daily activities 7-10 days following treatment. While limited results are visible immediately following surgery, the final results will gradually emerge during the next several weeks once all the swelling subsides.
