Procedure
During the neck lift procedure, very small incisions are made under the chin or behind the ears. Through these incisions, Dr. Park will be able to tighten the neck muscles that have weakened with age and remove any excess or sagging facial skin and tissue. She may also perform gentle liposuction to get rid of any unwanted, excess fat under the chin that may be contributing to the “turkey neck” appearance. The surgery is performed in a private operating suite or an outpatient surgery center under anesthesia. The entire procedure takes approximately 1-2 hours to complete.
Recovery
Following your neck lift, it is very common to experience swelling, tenderness and bruising around your treated areas. Our staff will provide you with detailed post-operative care instructions to ensure you are comfortable throughout your neck lift recovery. Most patients report being able to return to work and their regular routines 10-14 days following their neck lift procedure, however, recovery time varies. While you will see limited results of your facelift immediately following surgery, the final results will gradually emerge during the next 4-6 months when all the swelling subsides.
